• Water only when needed and not between 10AM and 4PM
• Restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water and water from public and private utilities.
• Irrigation is permitted at anytime with a hand-held hose provided it is fitted with an automatic shutoff nozzle.
• Newly planted landscaping may be irrigated any day between the hours of 4:00PM and 10:00AM for the first 30 days following installation.

• Personal vehicle washing must be done using a hand-held hose fitted with an automatic shutoff nozzle.

Mandatory lawn irrigation restrictions specify the days when you may water. These days depend on whether your address ends in an odd number or even number, and on the time of the year. Following is your watering schedule.

Home addresses ending in odd numbers:   Wednesday/Saturday Home addresses ending in even numbers:  Thursday/Sunday Nonresidential Properties:    Tuesday/Friday

During Eastern Standard Time

Effective Nov 2, 2025

Home addresses ending in even numbers:  Sunday Only

Nonresidential Properties:  Tuesday Only

Additional Seminole County Restrictions Include:

Reclaimed water customers may irrigate Two (2) days a week year round

The speed limit in our community is 20 MPH.

As you enter, drive around and leave Sleepy Hollow First Addition, please observe this speed limit to assure that our children, joggers, walkers, bike riders, other drivers and all of our residents are safe.

In accordance with our deed restrictions:

- Containers must be out of view from any public street. Garbage and rubbish containers shall be placed at the edge of the street no earlier than early evening the day prior to pick-up, and the empty containers shall be removed from the curb no later than the evening of the day of pick-up.

   

Holiday Schedule – Collection service is not scheduled for: New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.

Collections that would normally occur on these holidays shall be rescheduled on the next regularly scheduled collection day.

Recycling collections shall be rescheduled to coincide with the next regularly scheduled solid waste collection day

Gardener’s Corner

Our Homeowner’s Association participates in the City of Longwood building permit process. If you are planning new construction or renovation to your home that will require a permit from the City of Longwood, you should first submit your plans to the Sleepy Hollow First Addition Board of Directors for approval. Be mindful that you will need to comply with our current deed restrictions.

COYOTES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Some of you have seen or heard that a family of coyotes has taken residence in the wooded area of Sleepy Hollow Park. It appears to be a Male, Female, and several cubs.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission does not remove coyotes from Florida communities. They recommend that we ignore them or "haze them" (meaning annoy them until they leave the area). In any case, our SHFA-HOA Board is engaging a recommended wildlife control contractor to remove them from our area.

Please keep your pets and children away from the coyotes until we can remove them from our park area.
